HENARTH STUDIOS / PRIVACY
Your information.
Last updated 16 September 2026. This notice covers the WicketMark website, player questionnaire and alpha invitation list.
Who is responsible
James Finlay is the sole trader trading as Henarth Studios and is responsible for the personal information collected through this website. Contact james@henarthstudios.com about privacy.
What we collect
If you request an alpha invitation, we store your email, when you signed up, the consent wording version and acquisition source. If you complete the questionnaire, we store your answers, a random response reference, date, questionnaire version and whether screenshots were shown. We also store a limited acquisition source with questionnaire answers. Your email is stored in a separate invitation-list table. Submission references, analytics events and timing may allow records to be linked; we do not describe these responses as anonymous.
Why we collect it
Henarth Studios uses questionnaire responses to guide WicketMark’s development and uses your email to contact you about alpha testing when you explicitly opt in. Taking part in research does not require joining the email list. We do not sell your details or send unrelated marketing.
Legal basis
We ask for consent to use research responses and to send alpha testing emails. Optional analytics are also based on your consent. You can withdraw consent by contacting us, or stop future analytics using the control below. Necessary submission protection supports our legitimate interest in preventing abuse of the website.
Optional analytics
With your permission, we record landing views, halfway scrolls, gameplay section views, questionnaire starts, question-two completion, completed questionnaires, alpha requests and development section views. A random session reference connects events within a browsing session.
We record a limited campaign source, medium, campaign name and referring hostname. Analytics contain no email addresses or written answers. Your analytics choice is saved on this device; the session reference and acquisition source are stored for the current browser session only after you allow analytics. Declining does not prevent research submissions or alpha requests.
Storage and protection
Site records are stored in the site’s Cloudflare D1 database through the Sites hosting platform. Access is restricted to authorised studio operators. Hosting providers also process connection and operational information to serve and protect the website.
To limit automated submissions, we keep a daily pseudonymous hashed network identifier and request count. We do not store raw IP addresses in the application database. These counters are cleared on subsequent requests after their day expires.
Retention and your choices
Our retention policy is 12 months from collection for research responses and analytics, and 12 months from signup for alpha invitation requests. Invitation details are removed earlier if recruitment ends or you withdraw. Exported copies are included in the policy; Expired application records are removed when submission endpoints are used, with an owner maintenance control for quiet periods. This is not a scheduled background service. Provider backup arrangements must be verified before public recruitment. You can decline analytics or change your choice above; this stops future optional collection.
You may ask to access or delete your email details or withdraw from alpha invitations. The confirmation screen gives you a response reference. Keep it and include it when asking to access or delete your research answers. Without a reference, we may be unable to reliably identify your answers. Avoid adding identifying information to written answers.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, delete or restrict use of personal information, and withdraw consent. Other rights, including objection and portability, depend on the processing involved. Contact us with your invitation-list email or research response reference. We aim to respond within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
